Jersey Boys REVIEW:

Neither of Clint Eastwood’s last two films,  Hereafter (2010) and J. Edgar (2011), received much audience approval, so expectations weren't exactly high for his film adaptation of the Broadway show, Jersey Boys.

Clint, would you say that Hereafter was hokey and
disappointing despite its compelling premise?
It had a slow start but, like many of Eastwood’s films, it was an effective drama. The musical scenes were undeniably powerful. This is greatly due to the film’s leading man, John Lloyd Young, who also portrayed Frankie Valli on Broadway.

Keep your eyes peeled for Eastwood’s Hitchcock moment in the film.

3/5 Great music, great acting, could have been better, but still pretty good and a helluva lot better than Hereafter.
