Comic-Con Does Its Own Throwback Thursday With Goosebumps Movie Panel

Remember those classic Goosebumps books that would scare the hell out of us in the 90's? Well Sony is making a full length movie with Jack Black playing writer R.L. Stein. The film is about a boy who joins up with the girl next door and her uncle, Black, after the monsters from his books come alive and start wrecking havoc on the town.

Some pictures have already been released online and some very early cuts of the film were just shown at the Sony Comic Con Panel. A lot of popular monsters from the books will be returning for the film including the very popular ventriloquist dummy, Slappy, who appears to be the ring leader of the shenanigans. Overall vibe is that it will probably rated PG and geared more towards tweens and kids. The film is set to release August 7th, 2015 and you can check out the first look photos below.
